Why do people take short cuts, to save time and money? Whatever the reason shortcuts usually have the opposite affect than the original intention.

Perception is not always realty no matter how many marketers tell you. It is easy to miss the "real cost" of taking a shortcut verses its perceived benefit.

Questions to ask yourself when taking a shortcut;

  • Are you weighing your options for yourself or are you following the crowd?
  • Are you taking a shortcut because it's less work?
  • Are you choosing a shortcut because it's more entertaining?

Shortcuts can come disguised. They can look harmless even beneficial but beware the shortcut. It can be a costly path to follow.

As the saying goes, "there are no shortcuts to success." The same thing applies to choosing a real estate agent.
